Dear Mrs. Dong,
just a quick update:
I
must say Dong Dong did really well today, he managed to settle down
within the first 15min (with the colouring of the giraffe and some
painting) after he came into the classroom this morning. He was left to
observe what we do in the classroom and with some prompting, Dong Dong
came to join us in playing both indoors and outdoors. He was better
able to manage his emotions at the transition times and joined the rest
for snack as well. In fact, he joined his new friends in running,
shouting and dancing!
I
understand it wasn't easy for you to leave him crying at the school
entrance today, however, it worked pretty well today. May I suggest
that we continue it this way? I'm sure he'll eventually learn to settle
down and enjoy coming back to school. :)
As
promised, here are the photographs that Ms. Alice has kindly taken for
me. Unfortunately, they didn't turn out clear... still, it may be good
if you could also show Dong Dong these photographs and remind him that
he had fun in school too.
